We went sledding on New Years Day in Payson with my family. I admit, when my Mom told me that my Dad wanted to take the kids I was freaking out. You know you hear of deaths from this activity! Because it was my Dad that wanted to take them we can't say no. So... we packed warm clothes for Max and dug out his never been used before sled and headed to Payson. Shortly after we arrived my Dad, Nick (MY dear reasonable responsible husband), and Max headed off toward the hill. Imagine my surprise or horror when I come up over the hill to my 4 year old going down the hill BY HIMSELF! I took Nick to take care of my baby and this is what he does, ARE YOU KIDDING ME! Max LOVED it! I can't tell you how many times he went down the hill. He went forward, backward, on his knees, over the big bump and he LOVED it.
Now, after daring my sisters to go down with me we realized that it really wasn't THAT bad, but still people DIE doing this. Monica and I commandeered Max and E's sleds and kept going down. Sometimes we took the boys on our laps other times we went when they were not looking.
In this picture you see Monica, Me with Max on my lap, E, Bailey and that shadow next to Bai is Alex. Well we were racing down the hill to see who could go farther, and who was fastest. So.... we count down and go. We are laughing and having a good time until we realize that Alex is RUNNING down the hill with us. Yes RUNNING. All of a sudden he is in front of us and is very clearly going to get run over when Monica reaches out on scoops him into her arms and onto her lap. We still don't know how he did not get hurt. After that when the sense was knocked back into us, we gave the boys back their sleds and went back to being a little freaked out about the whole thing.

Hillary,
I'm glad that Max liked sledding because Reese cried the entire time my dad took her. Oh well, maybe next time she will like it. By the way I'm so ready to be done, hopefully I will be calling you soon with news! Keep your figures crossed for me.
